Rockbox plays songs at super speed

(1/1)

LeoTheLion89:
I have Rockbox installed on a Philips GoGear HDD6330/17 and a majority of the songs on it plays at a super-fast speed. It does not play that way on the computer. What is wrong?

cereal_killer:
Have you checked, if you have changed some settings in "pitch" or "timestretch".

See the manual for more information.

Greetings,

There is no such setting on my version of Rockbox. The files are in WMA i converted the songs to OGG and they work fine

silvertree:
I cannot be specific, as it was long ago, but I've seen this before. It had something to do with a combination of codec/bitrate/sample rate.

In some cases the low rates get doubled or so by the player and thus play super fast.

Transcoding the files was the right solution, though some would feel that's controversial.

Well I DID indeed fine a Timestratch setting but it was off. However I did install the Voice Files and Rockbox still wont speak any ideas?
