DB link in WPS context -> albums by current artist | -> songs of current album
« on: July 11, 2014, 07:07:58 AM »
Just an idea:
Everyone who has a Logitech squeezebox knows the while playing context menu has two entries:
Artist: The Beatles    -> brings you to the database and lists all albums by "The Beatles"
Album: Help!     -> brings you to the database, to the list of all songs of the album "Help!"

This would be very great to have implemented on the root of the while playing context menu because it is so handy! At the moment we have to go to Main menu, database, same as current...., Artist

I didn't look at the source code, how the menus are built. Maybe it is not possible to disable menu entries, like in this case if the database is not initialised. Maybe it is against a rule of rockbox or very hard to implement or the context menu is too full to add something more.

What do you think? Any feedback would be great! Thanks

it would be nice but I don't tinhk it is actually possible to do what you want.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.
