Who is maintaining the Mikmod code?
« on: July 08, 2014, 10:22:57 AM »
Hi,

I looking for someone who would explain me and possibly help witch changing the code of the Mikmod which is used to play the scene modules.

1) Is the code for this part integrated with the rest of the main code and has to be compiled and installed together by flashing the device?

or

2) It is separated (like a plugin) and can be recompiled and deployed on the hardware separately?

Currently I have the problem with that piece of software as it does not allow to ignore end of module loop, so there is no chance for next song to be automatically loaded after the current one is finished. So I'm looking for someone who would help me with that problem.

Sorry if that is a wrong place to post, but I could not find a better one.

Regards,
Zaxon

1+2 are the same thing in rockbox, as plugins are compiled into the main firmware.  You don't distribute/compile them separately.

I'm not sure if mikmod is a codec or a plugin in rockbox, but its very easy to check.  If you play a file, and get the standard while playing screen, its a codec.  If you end up inside a custom screen that isn't accessible for other formats, its a plugin.
