[SOLVED] Sansa Clip Zip - Can't confirm name when creating playlist

WPS Context Menu -> Playlist -> Save Current Playlist

That does not save the playlist to the Catalogue, but to the directory of the first file of the current playlist.

I just tried this on my Clip Zip, and it behaves the way cereal_killer describes it. The playlist was automatically named after the Album folder containing the first track on the playlist and saved in the Artist directory. I store all my music on the microSD card, so...
Example:
The first track in the current playlist is "Bohemian Rhapsody" off Queen's "Greatest Hits" album. When I use the WPS Context Menu, select Playlist, then select Save Current Playlist and accept the default, a playlist named "Greatest Hits" is saved in the Queen folder.
If I look at the playlist name before I accept the default and save it, the playlist is named "/<microSD1>/Queen/Greatest Hits.m3u8"
Then I started playing the album "News of the World", adding the album "Sheer Heart Attack". I reshuffled the playlist so the first track on the playlist was from "Sheer Heart Attack". When I used the WPS context menu to save the playlist, the default playlist was "News of the World.m3u8". It seems as though the default name is based on the first album added, not necessarily the first track on the playlist.
I'm not good a troubleshooting, so I would have to defer to [Saint], but that's the behaviour I observed. It's likely I'm doing it wrong.

I have no idea what's going on here.
I can repeatedly, and consistently, get the playlist to save in the Playlist Catalogue using the two methods I outlined.
How is it that you are starting playback?

Serenity:
I just use the filetree to navigate to the Queen/Greatest Hits folder, select "Bohemian Rhapsody" and, as it starts playing, I press the Return key to navigate back to the WPS. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is playing with the rest of the tracks queued up as usual. I long-press the Select button to get to the Context menu, select Playlist, then select Save Current Playlist.
That's when it defaults to the Artist folder and creates Album Name.m3u8.
I've always started playback this way, which might explain why playlists have always behaved this way for me. It really isn't a problem moving the playlist to the proper directory once it's saved.

I just wanted to end this thread to confirm that I have gotten the player to work now. If I create a playlist from the "Playlist catalogue" and type "/Playlists/<name_of_playlist> it appears in the playlist catalogue. Everytime I save a playlist I make sure that the path "/Playlists/" is prefixed to the name of the playlist and it works like clockwork.
Message to devs: I suggest that this should be fixed but as I mentioned above, it's not critical since its possible to make it work manually.
Thanks everybody in this thread! :D
