Remove dynamic playlist option

(1/1)

cyborgcat:
I'm using a sansa clip+ and I want to be able to have all of my songs shuffled together. More than that, I want to be able to reshuffle them on a whim. I also want to be able to, in the middle of a song playing, to select a new song and go directly to that song and then have my entire library of songs pick up and start playing again (in any order at that point). It seems to me that none of this can happen until "dynamic playlist" is either disabled or removed. I've been at this for several days now and going through the manual isn't helping me. Does anyone know if this is possible?

You can, indeed, reshuffle at will.

Bring up the context menu in the WPS, select the 'Playlists' entry, and then select 'Reshuffle'.

You can also use the 'Insert Next' playlist option to achieve you other goal by bringing up the context menu on the track you would like to listen to and then selecting 'Current Playlist - Insert Next'.

And...that's it.

The manual does indeed describe both these functions, and their usage, but it may have been non-obvious to you that these were the functions you were in fact looking for.

Actually, you want "Queue next" in this case, if I understand the OP correctly. If you use "Insert next", that track will appear twice in the playlist from then on, while "Queue next" has no lasting effects on the playlist.
