Rockbox util crashes on Win 7

I have Rockbox Util 1.4.0 on Win7 PC. Sansa Clip Zip plugged in via usb. PC finds Sansa np BUT doesn't assign it a drive number. Mediamonkey and all other SW I've looked at find Sansa np.

When I run Rockbox the sansa doesn't show up in Select Devices. When I run Autodetect Rockbox crashes. If the sansa is not plugged in Rockbox errors out normal with 'device not found'.

Do I need to do something to assign a drive letter? (Tried to assign static drive letter under admin tools but the sansa doesn't show up as a device that supports drive letter)

Any suggestions as to what I'm missing?

Change the USB mode to MSC.

This is a known bug and has already been fixed. No new release has been made since though. Since it only affects autodetection don't use autodetection :)
