Exporting music and playlist onto Fuze+ using Rock Box.

I'm trying to export music and my iTunes playlists onto a Fuze+.

I apologize if this is more of a Fuze+ question than Rock Box questions, as I'm not sure how much of this setup is related to each.

Here's what I've done so far:

1.  Used iTunes Export  (http://www.ericdaugherty.com/dev/itunesexport/) to create export playlist files.

It created a bunch of .m3u files in my Music\iTunesExport folder.

2.  Went to iTunes, highlighed all of the music in my library, and pasted them into my G:\Music folder on my Fuze+.

So this should copy the music onto my Fuze+.

But what do I do about the exported playlists?  How do I tell Rock Box, or the Fuze+, to read those playlists that it exported to my Music\iTunesExport folder?

3.  I usually rip CDs and create playlists from them.  Previously I would put them on an iPod Video, but I just got a Fuze+, so I'm learning how to use it.

What would be the best way to do this for my Fuze+?  Can Rock Box help me do this and get the ripped music onto my Fuze+?

Or should I still rip a CD through iTunes, then copy both the music and playlist to the Fuze+?

If iTunesExport does the right thing, you should just be able to put the m3u files on your player in the same folder as your music and play them like normal files.

If it doesn't do the right thing, you might need to use the "-musicPath" argument described in your link above so that the playlists point to the right folder on your Fuze.  Opening one of the M3U files in a text editor might give you an idea what its doing.

nuraman00:
If I select a playlist and start playing it, how do I see what all of the contents of that playlist is (while it's playing)?

If I try hitting select, it takes me to the context menu, rather than showing what the playlist content is.

Have you by any chance tried selecting the very first option of that context menu, the one labelled "Playlist"?
The very first option presented to you after doing so is "View Current Playlist".

Ok, I think this is how I can do this.

After selecting a playlist, I have to wait for the screen to dim.  Then when I hit select, I can get the context menu, and select "View Current Playlist".

I don't think I can do this if I start playing a playlist, but the screen hasn't gone dim yet.  Is this true?
