Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I have a Sansa Clip Zip and am considering installing the latest Rockbox on it after reading about it for the last hour or so.

Anyway, the main concern I have is that it says it available for the Windows OS up to Windows 7 and I have Windows 8.1 (recently updated from Windows 8).

So as my name suggests, I'm an idiot, but a cautious one, so will it run okay on a W8.1 machine?

I did a search for both Windows 8 (it came back and said I needed at least two letters in all search terms), so I then searched for Windows 8.1 and I found 2 posts, one that was not answered and the other person was having problems on their W8.1 machine and that's why I'm wondering if it could be that.

Also, I read the Rockbox manual for the Sansa Clip Zip and it said nothing about Windows in it.

I don't recall anyone reporting a problem with it, but with very new versions of Windows you never know how things are going to work.  Try it and see if it crashes.
