Certain album artwork not appearing? (iPod 5.5gen)

(1/1)

Eleven13:
Hey everyone,

I have a 5.5gen Ipod video and the current theme that I am using is rayboradio_ob.

I haven't had any problems so far with the exception of a few albums simply not displaying artwork. I ripped all my CDs using dbpoweramp and probably 95% of them display all of the metadata including artwork just fine. However, some albums do not display artwork at all, despite the fact that there is artwork attached to the actual files.

I've tried going into my music folder in my iPod and manually setting new artwork for the problem albums, but after trying that and then updating my database there is still no artwork displayed for those albums.

Any ideas as to what I could do to fix this problem?

Thanks!

What format are the images that do not display?

For embedded art, the image must be jpeg, and it cannot be progressive or multiscan.

The limitations surrounding album art are listed in the manual.

Thanks for the reply, the files are JPEG but I'm unsure how to check if they have those other features like multiscan, etc. Does size of the file matter at all?

When I went to change the image, I went into my music folder on my iPod, selected the files by right clicking and going to properties, then changing the art in the "ID-Tag" tab. Is that a correct way to go about changing it?

Still havent found a solution to the problem....even went as far as deleting the album off of my ipod, re-ripping the CD in dbpoweramp, choosing a different album artwork picture, then putting it back on the Ipod and still can't get the artwork to display.

Any other ideas to try?

I would save one of the files that doesn't work as an ordinary jpeg and see if you can view it in rockbox by playing it like a normal file.
