ReplayGain vs. MP3gain clipping issue

When I use MP3gain(using track gain) on a song that has some clipping in it, and MP3gain lowers it to around 89db, it also removes any clipping(in almost all cases).
So what I want to know is this:
Does the ReplayGain(using track gain), without Prevent Clipping option enabled, also do the same thing?

Also, when I use Prevent Clipping, does it make Track Gain useless or it just reduces it's efficiency?

The prevent clipping option just lowers the gain below 89db if required to prevent clipping. This is rarely if ever needed with the 89 db standard. Its really only useful if you are using a higher target volume.

Both track and album gain will prevent clipping nearly all of the time even without that option. For what you are doing it is basically irrelevant.
