Hi,

I have a question to the file mentioned above:
What influence/impact have these setting to the LiPO-battery inside the Sansa Clip ZIP:

/* define current usage levels (based on battery bench) */
#define CURRENT_NORMAL     37
#define CURRENT_BACKLIGHT  13
#define CURRENT_RECORD     CURRENT_NORMAL

/* maximum charging current */
#define CURRENT_MAX_CHG   150

What are "current usage levels" ?

Best regards,
mcc

Hi,
I would need to check but I think it is used by the power management system to estimate the battery current (this the device cannot measure it) and it turn estimate the remaining battery life.

[Saint]:
pamaury is correct, its just some values used to try to determine the projected runtime, visible in the debug page that virtually no one ever looks at.

Its not related to the battery percentile displayed by the system elsewhere.

HI,

thanks for the info¡ :)

Another question about this topic (somewhow)...
The battery of the Sansa Clip ZIP has three wires, where other batteries of this kind
(little silver pack with a little PCB) has two.
For what is that (blue) third wire good for?

Is its signal created/Came it root from/by the electronics of the
PCB or is there third connection to LiPO pack itsself?

Best regards,
mcc

Could the thermistor wire, to measure the temperature. By the way isn't the battery LiIon rather then LiPo ?
