How do I resume from where the player stopped in my playlist?
« on: April 20, 2014, 11:22:28 AM »
I have a Sansa Clip plus with a USB charger connected to my scooter. I have Car Adapter Mode On and Idle Poweroff set to 1 minute.  When I turn off the ignition, the player stops and shuts itself off after 1 minute. (It would be nice if there was an option to shut itself off immediately, but I can live with a minute.)   When I restart the scooter, the player starts up again.  This is all good.

The problem is if I was playing a playlist, the player starts back at the beginning of the playlist, and does not resume the song that was interrupted.  I have Bookmark On Stop set to Yes and Load Last Bookmark set to Yes.  I even tried setting Maintain a list of Recent Bookmarks to Yes.  After 1 minute idle the player displays a shutdown message and a saving bookmark message.  After powering up, I can see the bookmarks in the list, but the player does not use the last one. It returns to the first song i the playlist.

What am I missing?

Are you sure you need "Load Last Bookmark"? Normally rockbox restarts where it left off automatically, "load last bookmark" is (I think) more intended for people who really want to resume where they last consciously made a bookmark (i.e. not the bookmark-on-stop one).

I'd try disabling that.

I tried that, actually started that way, only added bookmarks when it didn't work.  BTW if I select a track from Files, it resumes as expected.  Playlist are the problem.
