Perhaps I could have been more tactful ... but I believe it is a useful discussion that might convince the OP or others that they can have 3 times as much music on their music player with no degradation in quality (and gives savings in bandwidth and offline storage space as well). With my older ears, I can't hear the difference between 128, 196, or 256 kbps ... yet I know some people can - which is why I always use 256 kbps (since I sometimes share music files). If someone wanted to debate the merits of that choice I would be perfectly happy to engage them.
