Please Help Me Remove Rockbox from My Clip Zip

I'm pretty dismayed how terrible the whole Rockbox experience has been for me, from the install instructions, to the installation, to the interface itself.. I just want it off of my player now.

I have run the Sansa firmware updater and unfortunately it cannot detect the player despite it showing on My Computer.

The Rock Box Utility apparently removed Rock Box from my player (even though it still boots up 3.13?), but if I attempt to uninstall the bootloader, it says 'Rockbox cannot uninstall the bootloader on this target. Try a normal firmware update to remove the bootloader.'.

Has anyone had any experience removing Rockbox from a Sansa Clip Zip? I could really use your input here, because I'm really not feeling this software and find it difficult to work with. It was difficult enough to join the forum and post here with the verification. Took me about eight attempts to get the stupid captcha...

Saying you're dismayed by the process isn't nearly as helpful as you suggesting what you think we could do better.

Its all very well and good saying that you think it to be problematic, but you don't give any feedback at all on what you would like to see changed.

In this situation, Rockbox Utility told you exactly what you needed to do, I find it difficult to see what could be done differently in this respect.

Hi guys, you know what, I had a real shitty week at work when I posted that and don't think what I said was particularly fair or constructive.

In my defense I did try what Rockbox told me and it failed.

In any case Rockbox started working after I did a hard reset (who'd a thunk it!), and I'm pretty happy with it. In the least I would like to spend more time to learn how it works.
