Sansa Clip ZIP freezes with microsd, doesn't read all songs on microsd
(1/1)
pbrainii:
Let me start by saying that I actually know how to use rockbox (used for years in my old sansa clip and my sansa clip+).
Also, my microsd works fine, was using it in my old clip+ and works on my pc and checked for errors and found none and all the songs also work (all are .wma).
Now, whenever I try to use rockbox latest version -3.13, with the microsd, it only reads exactly 1000 songs in the database. I changed the limits to a higher number but still the same.
The biggest problem is that while playing songs on the microsd, it freezes. The only thing I can do is either to remove the microsd, this will get it to play another song, or hold a button with power for 30sec to restart.
1) Is there any solution to this? (btw I used both the zip .20 and the .21 bootloaders, no change..)
2) If I try a daily built instead of the latest stable version will it work and IS IT SAFE OR WILL IT BRICK THE DEVICE?
I'm about to try a different memory card just for the sake of it..
thanks

I'm updating my own post:
I tried with a different memory card, and the player now finds all songs and seems to play fine without freezing so far (even though it freezed a couple of times while I was changing themes+updating the database at the same time)..
I'm happy, happy, happy
