Accidentally (kind of) deleted rockbox folder
« on: April 03, 2014, 02:24:04 AM »
So I kind of derped today... I deleted the rockbox folder directly off the root of my ipod classic from my computer. Now I get a screen like this: .. For a more clear description i just wrote down what the error said below

Data abort at 0005e054 (0)
pc: 005e054 sp:00000640

A:00008A4C (repeated a bunch)

I don't know if my ipod bricked or anything, but if anyone can help, it'd be awesome. Thanks

I feel like an idiot now. ._.

Quite simple really...just...put it back. ;)

I understand the panic. You think you broke your new toy. Nevermind.

Boot the device into the emCORE main menu (hold any key during boot), and then navigate to the "Tools" sub-menu, and then select the "Run Rockbox fallback image" item.

Mount the device.

Extract this archive to the root of the volume.

Safely eject the volume.

Power off the device (long press Play).

Reboot.

Celebrate.

Give me your eternal love and adoration - and possibly buy me a pony.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.
