USB mode

As far as I can tell, it's not possible to switch between MTP and MSC modes for USB in Rockbox. If I change the mode in the original firmware, and then boot back into RB, will it use the new setting?

I'm trying to get my clip + to work with the RNS 315 head unit in my VW Golf.

Rockbox only does Msc mode, and the OF settings are only for the OF.
