Installation / Removal > Rockbox Utility
Uninstalled from Sansa Fuze+ can't boot to stock firmware without VOL- & power
Mayhem:
I tried Rockbox and while I like it, the fonts are just way too hard for me to read on such a small screen. I uninstalled it and copied the stock .sb file to the root of the player and rebooted.
I can only dual boot into the stock firmware. How do I get it back to where it boots the stock firmware when you hit the power button by itself? The Sansa firmware updater sees that I'm on the latest firmware already so that doesn't fix it.
Thanks.
Mayhem:
When I boot normally, I get a black screen with the following:
Boot Version: V2
Boot org: CAFEBABE
Boot addr: 40000000
Power up source: 1
Loading firmware
File not found
Then it goes black

You can have huge fonts with Rockbox, have you had a look at the theme page for Fuze+?
There is no way that the OF firmware can match Rockbox for readability.

This points to the Rockbox bootloader still being present on the device.
Perhaps you accidentally copied a Rockbox patched firmware to the device instead?
I know absolutely nothing of the Sansa firmware updater application, but, it doesn't surprise me in the least that it would not allow you to "update" the firmware with the same version that is currently installed. You can download the Fuze+ 02.38.06 firmware manually, however.
Boot into the original firmware, connect the device using MSC, transfer the firmware file to the root of the device's internal storage, safely eject the device (important) from the host OS, and unplug the USB cable. The "update" should start immediately.

Yeah, I did that. All I get is a black screen with similar writing (CAFEBABE, etc) after I eject the device. Do I need to remove anything from the root of the drive as well?
