Sansa Clip Zip - Can't get Rockbox to find player...

Thank you very much! I had already looked there, and now (knowing it is really there) I was able to dig deeper and just found it! It is kind of hidden under many menu options, not so easy to find...

PS: Do you think that with RockBox I will be able to read a SanDisk card 64GB on my Sansa Clip Zip player? If not, what should I do? Thanks again!

Yes.

Rockbox couldn't care less about any arbitrary firmware imposed limitations the original firmware may or may not have. Just make sure to format it as FAT32 (your OS may or may not allow this natively, Windows - I'm lookin' at you..., but there are many third party tools available to facilitate this task).

Changing the USB setting has not worked for me. I am still getting the error that the mount point is invalid, but there is no option to change it, and autodetect simply crashes.

IIRC, autodetect crashing in the current release means that you have the USB setting wrong.  Can you verify that your player has been assigned a drive letter?  If it has, you should be able to select it from the drop down menu.

Yes, it is now F.  I am ready to install.  Another question is that my Zip Clip has been glitching for a couple of months - it will freeze if I try to go backward to the previous clip, and all I can hear are blips of noise, and it will not respond at all.  I have to shut it completely down by holding the power button for 20 seconds, and then it will come back and be fine until the next glitch.  So I am limited to going forward on an album.  Do you think the Rockbox firmware will eliminate this problem?  I have considered sending the player back to Sansa because it's certainly defective, but then I'd have to start all over again with a new player, load my music etc.

Also, should I pick my themes to download as I'm installing, or can I go back later and add them?

And, one more quick question - I have only 768 MB out of the 3.65 G on the player.  A problem?
