Can Rockbox be installed on a Sony walkman nwz-e383, enabling variable speed playback (faster & slower)) when listening to mp3's?

Hi,
yes Rockbox can be installed on the E383 because it's actually the same as the E373. Refer to http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,43630.0.html for more information. At the moment, installation has to be done manually because it is not supported by our RockboxUtility. However, please note that at the moment Rockbox has worse battery life than the OF on this device and also that the port is missing things like plugins and a manual.

okkei.. thanks!! But I'm not understanding.. ehm.. only Linux can install it or I can do this with W 8.1? and.. when can it support RBUtility?

Hey Rockbox can you add Sony e383 too the rockbox ult because when i manually download it
i cant run it for some reasons???
first i download the Sony rockbox file i put the .rockbox in it put when i launch up my Sony walkman
it still normal!

Hi,
the E383 is supported by rockbox, but you need to install the bootloader. See the install instruction at https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/ImxInstall, section "Prebuilt bootloaders ".
