Scanning disk...
« on: February 24, 2014, 07:35:30 PM »
My Sansa sandisk e260 running Rockbox ver 3.13 is frozen on "Scanning disk..." when trying to boot. I can hold the power button in for 10 seconds to get it to shut down and then restart while holding the left button. I did  that and tried reinstalling Rockbox but when I eject and restart the device, it again is frozen with the message "Scanning disk...".

Please help...

Doug...

Usually that means the file system is corrupt.  Try rebooting into the Sandisk firmware and checking the disk for errors.

That worked! I think when I had used a system runing ubuntu to copy some mp3 files over, something got corrupted on the microSD I have in the sansa. I rean chkdsk on it and told Windows to correct the errors and all is well now.

Thanks much...
