Swap L/R setting

I've got a couple pairs of headphones that can be worn "cable up" or "cable down" but you have to swap the channels to do so (which can be quite annoying). Is there any way we could get a sound setting that would swap the left and right channels?

At present, no.  We've talked about doing this for ages, and its pretty simple but no one has gotten around to it.

Ah, I see. Hopefully at some point in time someone will get bored and make it happen, haha.

Adding such an option for targets where the hardware can swap them is basically trivial, maybe I can publish a patch on gerrit. However to support this in software, someone needs to write the code, this requires knowledge of the audio pipeline which I don't have.

I think actually we can just swap pointers for the L and R buffers prior to interleaving.
