Clip Zip issues - cannot move in menus, "Shuffle/Repeat" keeps popping up

For some reason on my Clip Zip just recently I cannot move around in the menu screens at all, I can maybe move up or down and then suddenly the shuffle/repeat screen comes up. I tried booting into the normal Sandisk BIOS and it wouldn't register left or right at all. I'm not sure how to fix it, I'm trying to clean uninstall Rockbox right now. Am I screwed?

Edit: ...And now they're working again. Not sure what caused that.

That's the quickscreen. You get to that by long-pressing home. The symptoms you describe seem to indicate that the home button was stuck. Other buttons won't work as expected while that's going on, because the system is registering a button combination instead of a single button press.

Maybe there was some dust in the wrong place, or something like that.
