Ipod 5th gen - transferring songs...playback overlapping?

Hi did you find a solution to this ?
I'm having exactly the same problem :( and its a very similar to your setup 5g (30g model) Tarkan Board and 125gb Lexar Pro SDXC (formatted FAT32.)

I tried rebuilding the MBR on the SDXC card new partition etc. but it still has the same problem-

I'm getting random tracks merging for a few seconds then jumping back. The effected tracks are corrupt as you can overwrite to fix the problem but its a major pain trying to sort 125gb worth and this in turn then corrupts other tracks.

Has anybody experienced this or got a fix? or is my new Lexar card junk ?  :'(

Cheers
Glenn

Unfortunately, in order to take this completely seriously, you would need to be able to verify that the problem still occurs *without* the heavily modified hardware. The adapter plate has the potential to introduce all sorts of weirdness (the fact that at least one other user I am aware of reports that *only* Lexar cards work in these adapters is very telling in itself and points a damning finger in that direction).

The issue absolutely smacks of a corrupt filesystem, and if this adapter plate is repeatably causing such corruption, I'm not sure it would be a: a good idea, or b: possible, to work around the issue in Rockbox.

Thanks for the reply
I've now formatted the card again and for a test left it currently unrockboxed and now I dont seem get file corruption when using iTunes  ::) the tracks seem fine although I've only uploaded a few albums not 120gb worth I hate iTunes

I'll try Rockbox again as i love it but this file corruption is a complete pain though.  :'(

Cheers

Out of curiosity, are you safely ejecting the volume?

That really sounds like some kind of hardware issue.  If the adapter works with the Apple firmware, you'd probably have to dig into the Ipod ATA driver to try and figure out what is going wrong.
