ClipZip Radio locks up
(1/1)
Clipzipper:
Hi
I'm a new-by on Rockbox so please be patient with me ;D
I use rockbox 3.13 on my Sansa Clip Zip 8G.
I'm really happy with it over all.
But lately I found that after some minutes listening to the radio the unit locks up and shows some thing like:
Data abort at 30800
FSR 0x8
(domain0, fault 8 )
address 0xB00E8DA
pc:30800B58 sp:300
bt end
The radio keeps playing but the clipzip is not usable further until a loooong press of the power button.
I'm not sure if this is a bug of the Clip Zip or of the Skin I use (clock_lock2_zip)
I know that the radio is not the biggest feature on a Player
But I would like to have it work with out lock out the device ;)
Has any one an Idea what could help here?
saratoga:
Theres a good chance this is fixed in newer builds. Try updating and see if it goes away.
Clipzipper:
Hi Saratoga,
first sorry for the late reply. ::)
And thanks for the tip, as I used the latest "stable" version I thought this should be OK.
well..
I updated my clipzip yesterday with the latest revision of developer software.
It first seemed to work, but sadly the lockup appeared again, just later, at least from my "feeling" after 30 minutes or so.
But with the same failure code.
my current settings:
Language: German (but the fault also appears with English)
Base Skin: Clype-E
Radio Skin:Clype-E
RockBox Version:
0f72c73-140211
if needed I can also supply the info's of my Clipzip's Hardware rev.
For the programming Gurus
If they need it.
I can also offer a backup of my current box so they could eventually try to see the problem and find the cause, if they like.
As mentioned the Radio is not the main feature why I use rockbox :)
so I have no urgent need to get it fixed but it would be nice to have when the device offers the feature ;)
