Sansa Clip+ 2GB, ROCKBOX serious issue, player semi-bricked?
saratoga:
If it tries to load the firmware I think you didn't hit the right button.

Unfortunately, I'm pressing the right button - big square button surrounded by other buttons. It's SELECT according to Sansa manual for Clip+ :)
saratoga:
Are you running an old bootloader? Iirc only the most recent had USB support.
wsekund5:
Version of RockBox installed on my Clip is 3.13, RockBox utility used to install it is 1.4.0.
saratoga:
The bootloader isn't really related to either of those things, which is why it should still be able to do USB mode without rockbox installed. If you installed the bootloader using rbuitil 1.4 which has only been out for a few weeks, then you would have had the most recent one.
I don't have a clip+ handy, but using the very similar clipv2, I can boot into its bootloader without loading rockbox at all. So I would guess you either installed the bootloader a couple years ago or something else is going wrong when you try to use it.
