Sorry, I must have missed that feature. Now I'll be more aware of my hold switch. Thanks for the quick reply.

If there's something I can do to help with debugging (anything from test firmwares to grammar work in the docs), please don't hesitate to PM me. I'll probably stop by on IRC soon (after things slow down a little more around here.

Thanks for working on such a useful and amazing project!

Oh... is that why, already then.  Note to self never use the hold button.

IrYoKu:
When you plug your ipod to the pc, if hold is on, then it will clear your settings too. This happened to me a lot of times, and I could never imagine that it was the hold who was causing this issue. IMHO this should be changed, at least when charging from the usb.

IrYoKu:
I was totally wrong here, I am unable to reproduce it.

IrYoKu:
Ok, I have spotted the problem:

When I connect the ipod to the usb, it enters into disk mode. When I unplug it, 3 different things can happen:
  - It stays in disk mode, showing the text "OK to disconnect" (when it's already disconnected)
  - A strange battery icon with an exclamation mark appears. I have to do a hard reset (menu+select) to reboot into rockbox.
  - It reboots to rockbox, and if the hold button was on, it clears the settings.

Is this expected to happen?
