I have a question about Micro SD card & Rockbox
« on: January 09, 2014, 07:41:21 PM »
I got a new card for Christmas.
I have formated & put music on it & to get it to work right do I need to put it in when I am in Rockbox program or do I need to boot up the SanDisk Sansa Clip + Firmware to start using it.

I am asking what I need to do because last time I had rockbox on my player & had a micro SD card I keep getting error messages & when I booted up the player I had to eject the card & then I could boot it up so this why this time I am trying to make sure what I need to do so I do it right from the start

As long as the card is formatted with FAT32 it should be fine with Rockbox.

I would need you to engage proactively about what error messages exactly and specifically you saw before I could offer any speculation on whether you had a hardware fault, a software fault, a filesystem corruption, an invalid filesystem type, or something else.

Rockbox works fine with SD cards, your anecdotal recounting notwithstanding nor relevant.

Impossible to speculate since what "happened" with the old card is currently known to the level of detail = "something".

"Something happened".

"Will it happen again"?

"Who knows".

_what_ happened and why?

If you don't analyze the issue with the old card, you don't have the necessary data to do more than guess.

You are not being logical.

How can anyone address whether "that" thing that "happened" will "happen again" if we're clueless what it is that "happened"?
