Can't copy pp5022.mi4 to the root of Sansa e250R
briansdad:
I followed the instruction to the point where it says: "Boot up your device and connect the USB cable (make sure you have set the USB Mode to MSC/Rhapsody)"
When I connect the device, the screen says "connecting," but never advances beyond that point. My computer also says there is no driver for Sansa e250, and cannot find one to load.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
saratoga:
You mean you can't connect the regular sandisk firmware to your PC in MSC mode? Did it ever work with that PC?
briansdad:
It did, but I thought I had to uninstall the sansa driver in order to install rockbox.
saratoga:
You needed to install a driver for manufacturer mode, but I don't think that does anything to the MSC driver. As far as Windows is concerned, they're different devices in each mode.
briansdad:
Windows will recognize the sansa in "plays for sure mode," but not rhapsody mode.
