I cant unbrick my clip+

I installed rockbox, because I wanted to use my microsd card (32gb) to increase the capacity. The OF doesnt seem to like the large microsd cards....in my experience.

I struggled to read the menus, I thought the fonts were too small.

I tried to undo the the RB install with the utility, but it didnt work, so I started deleting everything and replacing (what I thought was) the .bin file....D'oh!

Now all I get it is file not found, and bootloader usb mode, and a whole lotta  ZERO.

I tried a hard reset, (when it comes on I do see the rockbox logo for a sec and it says , loading firmware file not found). Even after I tried formatting and reinstalling OF, to no avail. it says: Plug usb cable.

I tired forcing MSC, and extracting the OF from this link (//kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/300), and following thier instructions, to no avail.

Right now its just sitting there laughing at me like I messed up.....

whats the next step to recovery?

Reboot into the sandisk firmware and follow the uninstall directions in the manual.

thank you for the tip, I read and re read the install instructions.

I even did a hard reformat (vs a quick format).

What brought it back to life was holding left while turning it on.

The font size in Rockbox is adjustable.

Can I get rid of all the misc bs?  I just want music, and radio....no games no nothin.  There was so much stuff, i ddint know what to do.
Dithering? I have yet to google that.  decibel gain upto -85? 

By chance does rockbox provide better battery life, mines on the way out I think. It gets to about 1/2 way and it just dies. Im lucky these days if I get 10hours.

Yes you can remove items from the menu, and yes battery life should be quite a lot better.  Take a look at the manual.

Regarding dithering, if you don't know what that means, don't change the setting.

What I meant is that the defaults are sensible. No need to change them in most circumstances.

I dont expect someone else to read it for me, no.  I only realised after posting, that  RB has a manual.

Having glanced at it, I realise I will have to put on my thinking cap.  Its obvious whomever wrote it, really knows RB in and out.  I found it tough to follow.  I sheepishly admit, that without a flow chart I maybe lost. But thats my initial impression. Being a visual learner, I like pictures or at least a flow chart. Like I said i havent really looked at it too much. I dont mean for this to sound like Im knowing RB, im not, Im just mentioning my issue and its root. Thanks to all the guys and gals whom have put time and heart into it because i do recognize their labor.
