How do i install the bootloader (i have a mac, .exe files wont run)

i cant use the .exe files...i can however load a new firmware upto my ipod. so if someone could just tel;l me where to get the actuall firmware file, i would appreciate it

you have to format your ipod to fat32 to install rockbox on a macpod.

Take a look at this page, and guess which one applies to you: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodPort (hint: it's the one with MAC OS X next to it).

If you look at the back of each page it says in large friendly letters "Draft manual". Don't expect it to be exhaustive. The wiki is currently the most reliable source for information about Ipods.
