Installing Rock Box on Sansa Clip Zip with 01.01.21A won't work

Yeah, still no love.

I think the 01.01.21A firmware really doesn't play nice with the clip zip, it seems to delete the .rockbox folder and the clpza.bin when I eject, then disconnect the player and the original firmware loads...

I've seen those that got it to work, but I have no idea.

I hope rockbox with work with 01.01.121A, but we'll see.

If you can't install a regular update you have bigger problems. Figure that out and then try Rockbox.

Just tried the latest installer and still no love.

All I want is rock box, but it seems with the new firmware it's blocked.

Anyone have ideas?

Like I said above, there is no point in trying until you figure out why you can't update the original firmware.  There is absolutely no way you will succeed at patching the OF if you can't install it.

I am having similar problems to this poster (same player, same firmware).  My problem is that the installer WON'T let me select anything BUT drive D:, and my player is located at J:!!!
