Jukebox 6000 USB Cable

I have just gotten a JB6000. It seems to work fine but I need a USB cable for it. I tried a USB bridge cable but the drive was not seen. Archos lists the cable on their site but when you go to the Shop Online tab, there is no listing for the cable. Are there any other alternatives available?

You'll need a plain USB A male - A male cable. It's a plain cable (no electronics in it) like the standard USB cables, but since it violates the USB standard, it's rarely found. A bridge cable won't work as it does have additional electronics in it. Some shops carry those cables, google helps.

Also note that the AJB6000 won't be recognised by Windows (even Windows XP) without drivers. The drivers are available for download from the archos website.

Ebay always has those cables......A dollar store by me has a whole box of em if you need it that bad let me know.....

Thanks for the replies. I have now received the cable I ordered. I also had to buy new batteries and an AC supply. It's working great now!
