[Question] Battery with rockbox?

I was wondering that if I install the rockbox firmware on my mini ipod first generation, will it improve the battery life?

What he left out is that by the time it's officially released battery life will likely be much better than it is now.

According to paul, power in rockbox on draws 100 ma from usb power, and apple os draws 500 ma from usb power, so yes, it is significantly lower in rockbox. I'm not sure if these statistics are correct because i believe they are paraphrased from the video board, which may vary from the mini.
