Read also that what messed up his player was ACTUALLY the faulty power supply. While the constant reboots could potentially be bad for it, most likely it'll be putting wear on the HD drive. He burnt out something else, because of a bad charger.

Ya probably your best bet to be safe is buy the power accessories from apple or from a company which they ipod car power supplies have a good customer review..

Yet again it would be great for all of these accessories for the ipod to be compatable with rockbox, but maybe it will be in the future, we just have got to wait...
