Sansa Clip+ bricked :(

I bought a Sansa Clip+ for the mrs for Christmas.  Having read that using RockBox made it far more useable, I downloaded it to my Mac and installed.  Seemed okay, although I still wasn't too sure how to then copy music to the device.

Anyway, as my wife uses a windows PC, I downloaded RockBox to that and installed it there.  Now, I can't access the device on  either the Mac or the Windows PC.  No buttons on the device work and it just has a USB plug image on the Sansa.  If I plug it into the windows PC, nothing gets detected.  If I plug it into the Mac, I get an error message about the mountpoint being incorrect.

Have I killed the Sansa somehow?  What have I done wrong?  How can I recover it, or have I completed buggered it :(

Try hard-resetting it by holding the power button for at least 30 seconds
