i have a question. is it possible to install rockbox on my ipod classic 80gb 5th generation? if yes.. how?

thanks for reply. i am an advanced user.. but i receive an error
error reading partition table - it is possible that it is not an ipod.

i ve selected the volume f: (ipod ) and selected Vth generation....

i use windows 8 and don't have installed itunes (but the ipod is full of music)...

Ipod Classic is not 5th generation.

I'm assuming you're trying to install using Rockbox Utility. Rockbox Utility can't install on the Ipod 6th generation.

but i controlled the serial number at, for me, the ipod classic 80gb seems to be a 5th generation...

how can i install rockbox now?

Do you have a 5g (video) or 6g (classic) ? If the 5g you use rbutil if the 6g you'll need to follow the directions on the wiki page for the 6g as a fully automatic installer isn't available for it.

Not for that specific device at the moment.
