problems restoring 6g ipod to original firmware

i am having problems, i reinstalled itunes 9.2.1 as directed but the ipod keeps booting into rockbox and is not recognized by itunes which gives message about ipod update cannot be accessed.

The screen goes black and presumable is in dfu mode but is not showing in windows explorer

 

Any ideas or step by step instructions that you know work
