h340 upgraded to 80gb

(1/1)

Hi everyone,
I have just upgraded my h340 with a Toshiba MK8007GAH 80GB hard drive. But now my PC has issues recognizing my h340 when I connect it via USB. I originally formatted the new drive to fat32, and then copied all the contents from the old drive to the new. Everything seemed fine, the player works great. But now when I try to connect the player to my PC it wont see the device. I've restarted the PC and still get the same result. But now if I switch back to my 40GB hard drive in my player it works normally and sees the player right away. If I switch back to the 80GB hard drive then my PC does not see it again, but yet the player functions properly otherwise.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to try to get my PC to see the player with the 80GB hard drive in it??

Thanks

Solved the problem for anyone looking to do the same. I had the bootloader v5 and for some reason it did not like the large hard drive. I upgraded to another modified bootloader offered by Paul Hodges that was noted on another thread for larger SSD drives. I gave it a try and it works great now.
