Installing Rockbox
« on: May 27, 2006, 02:26:15 AM »
Yodizzle, shizzle-nizzle. What be up in the hizzle?

Fo' real, though.

I'm using the Windows Installer and in the drop-down menu of the setup, it only lists Jukebox and Ondio MP3 players.

Well, obviously, I'm trying to get it on my iPod Mini, 2nd Generation, and I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong or missing a step.

Thanks, Keegan. LinuxKeegan. Forizzle ma' nizzle. ... Bizzle.

I assume then that you downloaded the 2.5 build, which is only for Archos Devices. There's not an official installer for the iPod builds, as technically they haven't even been released yet. They're still in development, and while quite usable still lack a lot of polish (and still don't perform as well as we'd like).

For installation instructions, see here: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodInstallation

there is an ipod installer you can use. just perform a search in ipod general discussion or on the ipodwizard forums.

The safer way would be to follow the manual though because the installer in unsupported.
