Sansa battery dies Quickly

It seems that my rockbox 3.12 is not shutting down completely.

When operating normally, power drawn seems to be within expected, but when I turn it off and pick it up two or three days later it's always empty. I can turn it on for only 5/6 seconds.

Rather than this it operates very well and normally.

Does anyone have a clue on what might be happening?

When you shut it down can you restart it normally?  If it crashes or something during power off there will be power draw, but then I expect it won't be easy to boot (might have to hold power for a while before it starts).

Thank you for the reply. Yes, it resumes normally as with any other operation. Just a quick press of the button turns it on. Which is strange right?

Are you seeing the message "shutting down" when you turn it off?

Maybe you're not turning it off...

Holding the power/stop button until you see the "shutting down" message is necessary...

Wel... Usually yes. I think I am  :P. To make sure, I'll test it out during the next couple of days
