MackyMack:
Hello Everyone. Sorry if this has been covered before. I have the Sansa Clip Zip 8. I went to Best Buy and told the the Tech there I wanted the highest capacity expansion card to work with this unit. The Tech gave me a SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter. I couldn't figure out what was up, nothing fit. Even trying to fit just the card into my Clip Zip, it would not seat and kept popping out. I contacted Sansa Chat Support, The Tech explained this size card is incompatible with my unit and the adapter is unnecessary.

I see in some Google searches if one formats a 64g card using Fat32 and switches to RockBox it is posssible to use the 64g card? I need an answer since I will return the whole thing to Best Buy tomorrow unless told otherwise. I realize the adapter is unnescessary, should I return the whole package and see if they just have the micro card in 64G size?

Dazed and Confused, looking for a little? help

Thanks one and all for whatever you can offer.

saratoga:
Yes, FAT32 formatted SDXC should work (its the same as regular SD).

toehser:
64GB works fine.  I keep one 64 in it, and another 64 tethered to it, for 136GB in my pocket.

MackyMack:
Forgive my ignorance, but when I tried to insert the card into the slot on the side of the player, it didn't seat, just kept pushing back out. I had the lettering facing up. I thought it was just wrong for the device. You are using a Ultra microsdxc Uhs-I with or without the adapter (or compatible device?)

saratoga:
No adapter is required.
