Clip Zip Rockbox 3.13 freezes on track change, track switch, randomly

Sorry if i'm doing something wrong or posting in the wrong forum, tried searching, could not find anything.
My rockbox hangs sometimes on track change, or when i manually go through tracks, or in playlist view, sometimes even in the middle of playback. Seems random, i can listen to whole albums, and then it just hangs, and i need to restart it, and then it hangs again. When it hangs, i can still browse the card, unless i try to play another song or press the top button which i stop, only hard reset helps then. Does not seem like its the files, cause it does not hang on same files, don't think its the card either, with stock firmware 01.01.20 it works just fine.
What do i actually do to provide some more info on this, cause its killing me. I've tried different firmware versions, formatting my zip, card, cleaning the tags up with mp3tag.

Does it happen off the internal memory or only the sd card?

Sorry, been really busy.
No it does not happen with internal memory, only the card. Still, card works fine with stock firmware and in windows when I plug it it.

Hmmm... I guess it could be some filesystem weirdness, there's a lot that can happen, I'd wonder if it happens with a different card formatted cleanly to fat32.  I could imagine some filesystem condition that Rockbox hiccups on but the native firmware doesn't.  There are ways to analyze filesystem structures, but, an easier thing would be to just try with a different card if you have one.
