Ipod Video with 128 GB SDXC Card Skipping Flac Songs

Hello Rockbox Community,

First of all, thanks for Rockbox. I have been using it for years. This is my first post.

I need some help.

I have ipod video with 128 gb sdxc Kingston Class 10 card. I m using this adapter to get it work:

Wİth original firmware, everything seems normal, but rockbox, flac songs skip always. 320 kbps mp3 files etc. do not have this problem. Only flac files. I ve tried it with 3 ipod video with three cards and sd-cf adapters, results are same. Flacs i have mentioned are not 24 bit. They are 16 bit 44 khz.

How can i solve this?

Thanks for the reply. I ll test it as soon as i get back from work. Also, when i say skipping flacs, i mean flac song stop suddenly and skip to next song in list. It is randomized, it sometimes play full of a flac file, sometimes skip at the beginning of same file.

I ll test the song and will write the results.

My guess is that the file is corrupted when its transferred from the SD card into memory.  No idea why 5 seconds would be a problem, the player should read several minutes of the file into memory at a time.

Thanks for the reply. Actually it generally become randomized while skipping. I mean there is no exact seconds on songs while skipping. Sometimes it skips at the beginning of the song, sometimes at the end of the song.

But it always skips at 5th second on test flac you ve mentioned.

Again, there is not a problem with original firmware. It always play flacs without a problem. It makes this only on rockbox. Should i try with earlier Rockbox releases? Does it make sense?

I dont believe the Apple OF can play FLAC files. Were they converted before being played on Apple OF?

You are right, i mean ALAC. Sorry about this. Unfortunately, i could not solve the problem. I m using Apple OF with ALAC files.
