Accessing PC Created Playlists Through Database?

(1/1)

ClimbAllTheRocks:
Hello! I searched around and didn't find any hints towards this particular problem.

I have a Sansa Clip+ with external and I prefer to create my playlists on the PC through MediaMonkey (RockBox's on-device system just isn't very conducive to how I use my playlists). I believe they are created as .m3u files.

While I can find the playlists through the file folder and play them, they don't show up in the Database and I was wondering if there was a way to get the DB to recognize my externally created playlists. I just find the DB to have a cleaner navigation than going through the files, though I did create a shortcut to the folder which made things a little easier.

I would just like to know if it's possible. Thanks!

P.S. Also, Podcasts! Those are even more of a hassle to access through the file folders because as far as I could tell I couldn't even create a shortcut. Any tips on making those easier to get to would also be welcome.

Dont you look on the Playlist Catalogue? Cause thats where my playlists (that are made from my pc) are stored.

Where do you store your m3us?

ClimbAllTheRocks:
All of my music and playlists are stored on my external 32gb SD card. I forgot to mention that, it may be part of the problem.

As is, my playlists don't show up in either the playlist catalouge or on the playlist section of the database - I can only get to them through folder navigation.

If I put my playlists on the device instead, will they show up in the catalogue? That would work just as well for me.
