Sansa Fuze+: Database issue

I upgraded my Sansa Fuze+ last night to the latest RB firmware.  The previous firmware I was using was requiring resetting the device more and more because it would just lock up without being touched.  Now, with the new firmware,  the issue is that whenever I go to Database -> Album Artist -> (select an artist) -> (select an album) the first album I select everything works OK.  However, if I decide I don't want to play that album, if I hit the back key or the left key, I am brought back to the main menu and if I select Database again, the device jumps right to the album.  I tried other ways to get around it using the menus, but the only way I can get around it is to reset the device, but if I choose the wrong album again, I am stuck until I reset it again.  As of writing this, I pretty much use this method to select the albums I want to play, so I have not tried other methods of accessing the music, therefore, I do not know if this is the only portion of the code affected or if it would do the same thing using other methods to access my music.    I would go back to the older firmware that was buggy, but not as bad, if someone could point me to where I can get it from.  The only firmware I can find on the RB main site is the latest, which is giving me fits.

I highly doubt it.  That means you are stuck on one album selection until you turn the player off.  I would agree if this were the "now playing" selection, but the database should allow full control as it always did.  If this is the new "functionality" then I will be dumping RB fast and not looking back.

I re-read my first post.  To be clear, when I say it jumps to the album, I mean it jumps to the song list in the album.  I can't go back to the listing of albums under the album artist selected.  I can't even go back to the list of artists under album artist.  The player just jumps between the main menu and song list.   I tried the Files and the same issue.

Does this clarify my issue better?  I have been using RB for over 6 months and have not run into this.

Admittedly, my RB build is a few weeks old but...

The database and file viewer behaviour sounds typical.

RB is remembering the last folder viewed.

What sounds wrong is that you seem to have lost "left" control.  Fuze+ is a tough cookie for control so I would suspect a mispress.  You think you are pressing "left" but fuze+ thinks you are pressing "back".

I know you'll hate to hear this but try using very precise, very direct contact with the "left" button.  Under no circumstances should "left" behave the way "back" does.  If "left" is behaving like "Back" it could be a hardware issue or a user issue.

I know I have had some serious problems with pressing the wrong keys on fuze+
