YP-R0 unrecognized device/defective usb port

Good day sire/madame!
I need help, I accidentally dropped my
YP-R0 on the toilet, it wasn't completely wet thanks to its tight seal and covering and everything seems functioning normally, but unfortunately only for the usb port,
my pc won't recognize it anymore as a "storage mass media device" but still functions
as a charger, is there something wrong with the hardware or just the software?
would it be wise to use its built in "format device"? but it seem a gamble , deleting every files and if it won't work then its pointless using it anymore except if having a microsd card. btw the microsd card works well, can I install rockbox by the use of memory card? hoping it would fix providing the update the firmware? thanks in advance.. I'm willing to do everything to make it working again, soldering, replacing, modifying, providing your guidance/assistance  God Bless!
