iPod Photo: Error! Can't load rockbox.ipod

This is the Error Message:

then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode

I perform the requested reboot and all is well. I let the ipod sit till automatic shut down occurs. Turn on ipod and all is well. Let it sit over night and I get the same error message. Reboot and all is fine...etc ad infinitum.

This has happened to the last 10 iPod Photo's that Rockbox has been installed on.

I've searched this problem and find only that "You've Not installed Rockbox Successfully" and "Just do a reboot as instructed"

I'm using Windows7 64bit

I tried the following:
Reinstall Rockbox
Restore from iTunes
Reformat Hard Drive
Check File System [No Errors Found]

Zero issues found when using OF

A small difference like this usually means you installed a rockbox build for the wrong device

Rockbox Utility: Auto Detect shows:

Ipod Color / Photo / U2 (4th gen) (Stable)

This is the only Option for iPod Photo

I then Auto Install this version

What am I doing wrong?

Post the output of the Help / Troubleshooting / System Info dialog in Rockbox Utility while the Ipod is connected.

VID: 05ac PID: 1204 is an ipod color, so that should be fine.

No idea why the checksum would be wrong.

Should I try installing Rockbox on another computer? This problem is 100% predictable thus far.

Worth a try.

I get that exact same error constantly when booting up my iPod Photo (except that my HD is a 60GB). And yes, it is annoying. I've had that error on bootup on all my iPod Photos (and Mono).

I just reboot it, and it (eventually) boots into rockbox just fine.
