Redirect .scrobbler.log?
« on: September 26, 2013, 03:50:59 PM »
Is there anyway to have the .scrobbler.log file output to the root of the sd card instead of the internal memory? I'd like to use the scrobbler, but keep the internal memory hidden when mounting to my computer.

Yes, this is possible, but non-trivial (depending on what you were expecting, I guess). You would need to edit the source and compile your own build.

The section of code in question resides at /rockbox/apps/scrobbler.c and should be reasonably self explanatory.

Ideally, the location of the scrobbler.log file should be configurable, I may look into this, however I make no promises and even if I did look into it it most certainly wouldn't be any time in the near future due to other engagements and time constraints.

Feel free to ask questions if you get stuck.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

This is a bit over my head at the moment, but it will be an excuse to learn how to compile my own build.
Thanks!
