Unable to play large files
(1/1)
djauric:
Basically, I have a huge FLAC file that will not play on rockbox. I've played other FLAC files just fine, with the same encoding, but slightly smaller. I select the file, and it just goes back to the previous screen.
Rockbox version:3.13 (satble)
Device: Sansa Clip+
File: (name).FLAC
Size: 2.26 GB
Ecoding: 613 kbps / 44.1KHz / 16 bits / 2CH Stereo
Length: 8h 47m
Extra: File has a CUE sheet with it, and Rockbox's Cue sheet support is active. Tried turning that feature on/off but it still doesnt play.
And I know someone's going to ask, The file is just a mix of 8 bit, 16 bit, and arcade game music.
saratoga:
The maximum file size we support is 2048MB, so I don't think files that big will work.
korn36:
I think only way to fix it would be either encoding it in OGG (or something else) at a high bitrate (q10 maybe?) to reduce the filesize without big quality loss or splitting the one big file to several smaller files.
